The Kingsford charcoal brand dates from the 1920's when a charcoal plant was set up in Iron Mountain, Michigan by E.G. Kingsford, cousin of a certain Henry T Ford. Offcuts of wood from panels of the Model 'T' were manufactured into charcoal to sell alongside a basic Ford charcoal barbecue. Kingsford Barbecues are proud to present charcoal barbecues bearing the Kingsford brand, a sign of quality, design and performance.
The 57cm Kettle boasts a fully porcelain coated body and lid giving great durability with heavy gauge steel used throughout. The barbecue also features the easy clean removable porcelain coated ash collector making the clean-up operation that much simpler! The base shelf gives a useful storage area and the two air dampers give good control over the cooking temperature, reducing flare ups and blackened food! All handles are Bake Lite for safety reasons and the lid features a handy lid hanger when access to the cooking area is required.
